Art direction & editorial design project for The Pitch Fanzine
The Pitch Fanzine is an advertising industry fanzine set up by founder, Sherry Collins. Adam James Armstrong was responsible for the logo and editorial design as well as the associate art director from it's inception through to Issue 007.
Each issue is guest edited by a different production company where we showcase their photographers, illustrators, film, music video and commercial directors.
Printed copies are sent directly to a selected list of contacts in the advertising industry in the UK and abroad.
The Pitch Fanzine
Pitch is an advertising industry fanzine and is the brainchild of self publisher Sherry Collins.
Each of the issues is guest edited by a different production company which then showcases their photographers, illustrators, film, music video and commercial directors. Printed copies are sent directly to a selected list of contacts in the advertising industry in the UK and abroad.
The brief was to, firstly, create a visual identity that would set itself apart from the other industry magazines and secondly, be read. A flexible editorial hierarchy was adopted that was image heavy with complementary bitesize engaging content. It is designed to have a feel more in tune with that of a independent lifestyle supplement rather than industry heavy advertising giant. Pitch would look to subtly set itself as the goto directory of talent delivered free of charge to leading contacts within the industry.
Pitch has been well received and continues to grow in readership and ambition. It is recognised within a creative industry and has gained partnerships including D&AD, Soho House and more.
